Check one Shopify page for technical issues

Paste one public URL, such as a product page or the homepage. The free scan fetches that URL only and shows the technical checks for it.

It does not crawl the catalog. The structured-data check looks for a JSON-LD @type and does not score whether a Product or Offer is complete.

What the free scan can flag

The scan fetches that one page, plus robots.txt and a sitemap for the host. It does not crawl the catalog. JSON-LD counts when a block includes an @type, and the check does not score whether a Product or Offer type is complete.

  • Page title

The title check fails when the title element is missing and warns when the length is outside the range it accepts.

Fail: no <title>. Warn: shorter than 30 or longer than 65 characters.

  • Meta description

The check fails when the meta description is missing and warns when the length is outside the range it accepts.

Fail: no meta description. Warn: shorter than 70 or longer than 165 characters.

  • Canonical

The check warns when the canonical link is missing or points at a different hostname. A canonical on the same hostname, including another path on the store, still passes.

Warn: no canonical link, or the canonical points at a different domain.

  • Structured data

The check warns when the fetched page has no JSON-LD @type. It does not judge whether a Product or Offer type is complete.

    Warn: no JSON-LD found.

  • Image alt text

The check counts img elements on that page that have no alt attribute.

Fail: more than 30 % of images lack an alt attribute. Warn: some images lack one.

  • HTML size

The check warns when the HTML document exceeds its size limit. Inline theme markup counts toward that size. Script execution does not.

Warn: the HTML document is larger than 400 kB.

  • Server response time

The check records how long the server took to deliver the HTML and warns when that is over its limit.

Warn: the server took longer than 1,500 ms to deliver the HTML.

  • HTTPS

The check fails when the final URL, after redirects, is served over plain HTTP.

Fail: the page is served over plain HTTP.

What you get back

A technical score for that URL, and a platform label when the public HTML or response headers match Shopify signals such as cdn.shopify.com or x-shopid. A completed scan of the same normalized URL is reused when it is strictly younger than 6 hours. If the site does not respond, the scan stops after 8 seconds.
