Notes from WebVitalist on how the product behaves, written so a sentence can be quoted. English only.

  • What does Schema.org validation on a paid audit check?

A paid audit lists missing JSON-LD properties for the types in its required-props table. A Product needs a name and an offer, review, or aggregate rating. Those lines do not change the technical score or the overall score.

  • What does the AI visibility score on a free scan measure?

The free scan adds a separate AI visibility score from 9 weighted checks on the fetched page, robots.txt, and llms.txt. The weights sum to 18. It is not the technical score, and it is not part of an overall score.

  • What does the CSS health score on a paid audit measure?

A paid audit scores the CSS it can read from the fetched page: non-empty style blocks, then up to six linked stylesheets, capped at 400,000 characters. The number is the rounded average of performance, maintainability, and complexity, and it is not part of the overall score.

  • How does a free scan choose the platform it shows?

A completed free scan names a platform from weighted signals in the fetched HTML and response headers. The scan page shows ecommerce, CMS, and framework chips. Hosting alone is stored, and the badge then says Unknown platform.

  • When does WebVitalist reuse a free scan instead of fetching again?

A completed free scan is reused when the same normalized URL is submitted again less than 6 hours later. Failed scans are not reused. The cache key is the submitted URL, not the address after redirects.

  • What a free technical score under 80 means

The free WebVitalist technical score is 19 weighted checks on one public page, rounded to an integer. Under 80 is outside Good. It is not a Lighthouse report. A $5 brief restates that scan and does not run the audit.
